Hi Kai,
Is it possible to put a looping function on your videos?
It would sure make it easier to learn some of the rhythmic patterns.
Thanks
David
Hi David!
As someone who is also learning this stuff, I can totally see how that would be useful. Unfortunately this is currently not a feature in the video player. I have reached out to the developers to see if this is something we can implement in the future. Thank you for reaching out!
In the mean time, is there a specific video or specific sections of some videos you would like looped? I can export and upload that for you, custom! I will just make a really long video of a section looped for you.
However, we are in Spain collecting and creating more new content at the moment, until the 21st of August. I will be back at my desk on the 23rd and able to make looped videos for you. Please let me know which ones and where you need them looped!!
Thank you,
Tara
Thanks Tara,
In the first Alegrias and the first Bulerias videos, there are examples near the end of the videos where Kai plays all the examples together saying this is what we covered so far etc. It would be great if those sections could be looped for about 10 times each.
I usually use the program called "transcribe" with downloaded videos. It lets you slow down and loop etc. So an alternative would be to just make those small sections of the videos downloadable also.
I am actually on tour until the end of August also. So no worries. The site is very helpful for someone like me who is looking to learn more while still working and touring.
Have fun in Spain. We'll be there in October.

Hey David!
https://learn.flamencoexplained.com/loops
Per your request I've started a new playlist called LOOPS! Right now there are 3 videos in there for you to start with. This was an EXCELLENT suggestion!!! It is entirely easy and possible for us to create the content that can be a loop for easy play-along practice.
From now on we have changed how we will record and edit our videos to always offer an additional video that will loop. We have a pile of stuff in the pipeline that is currently being edited, and this will now be a new feature.
Thank you so much for this suggestion and for helping make our website better.
Tara
David,
As far as being able to download these, if you are an iOS (iPhone/iPad) user, you can download our APP here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flamenco-explained/id1337264971?ls=1&mt=8 which allows you to sync to your device any of the videos. Once they are synced you can watch anywhere without a wifi connection and have access to them at any time.
If you're an Android user, then we unfortunately don't have an APP for this just yet. Although, there is definitely a plan to do this in the future.
Tara
Thanks Tara!!!!
